Marinos Kiayias

Executive Director

Initiator and Managing Director of Talanto Capital Markets, Marinos oversees the company’s operations. His presence and reputation within the financial industry is the forefront success of attracting investments to the Fund, managing business development and the overall strategic growth alongside the Investment Committee. With an extensive background in the international financial markets, and over fifteen years’ experience in FX trading, he has been instrumental in the success of the company. His expert opinions regarding foreign exchange and financial markets have been published in numerous high profile financial publications. Marinos holds a BA in Business Economics and a MSc in International Banking and Financial Services from the University of Reading, UK.

Kleanthis Georgiades

Non- Executive Director

Kleanthis is a lawyer and legal consultant, with over 10 years of practice and consultancy experience in Cyprus, Greece, Russia, and many other Eastern European and European Union countries. He is the founder of GE.LAW SERVICES LTD, a practice specialising in legal and financial consulting, business and company structuring, management, administration and development, banking and financing, broking and coordination. As a member of the sporting and professional community of Cyprus, he holds various chairmanships and directorships in associations, clubs and companies in Cyprus. He is currently Chairman of the Cyprus Sport Organisation.

Omeros Nishiotis

Executive Director

Omeros Nishiotis is the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer at Fortified Capital Ltd (Talanto FX Fund’s external manager). He is a holder of the Advanced Professional Competency Certificate for all investment services issued by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission. He brings in excess of twenty one years of experience in the field of Asset Management, Investments and Finance.
Omeros has previously served as Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer of financial Services firms in Cyprus and Australia and as the Investment Manager and Business Development Manager of an International well established Insurance company located in Cyprus, as well as several managerial positions in Investment Firms in Cyprus, focusing on wealth management and product development.
Omeros is a member of the Society of Technical Analysts of the UK with a MSTA designation (Diploma in Technical Analysis). Also, Omeros holds a BA (Hons) degree in Accounting and Financial Management from the University of Essex UK, and a MBA in Finance and a D.I.C. in Management from Imperial College London UK.

Michael Papparis

Non- Executive Director (Independent Advisor to the Board)

Michael brings more than 40 years’ experience in the international financial markets to the company, as well as a unique network of long-standing business relationships in Greece and the Middle East. Prior to joining the board, he served as treasurer at well-respected international banks including HSBC in Greece, United Gulf Bank in Bahrain, ABN in Greece and Banque Francaise Du Credit Internationale in Greece. Michael’s experience also includes the position of General Manager at T-Bank, Group Director-Treasurer at Laiki Group, and CEO at the Investment Bank of Greece, where he oversaw an overhaul of management strategy and restructuring.

Efthymios K. Joseph

Legal Advisor of Talanto Capital Markets Umbrella AIF VCIC Ltd

Efthymios K. Joseph is a legal professional born in Nicosia, Cyprus in 1975. He began his career after serving in the Cyprus Army’s Special Forces and subsequently graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B) from Aristotle University Thessaloniki, Greece.
In 2000, Efthymios started his professional journey as a Legal Consultant for an overseas Group of Companies. His expertise focused on corporate consulting, specifically in the areas of company relocation and mergers in Cyprus. During this time, he also became a senior partner in a Law Firm, handling commercial aspects and catering to foreign clients.
In 2013, Efthymios established his own Law Firm, known today as Efthymios K. Joseph & Partners (JLAW) LLC. Drawing on his extensive experience and knowledge, he specializes in various legal areas including International Law, Commercial Law, Immigration & Migration Law, Banking Law, and Financial Criminal Law.
Efthymios actively participates in committees related to the investment sector in Cyprus, and he played a role in the initial committees involved in creating the Cyprus Investment Program.
Additionally, he works as a Legal Consultant for numerous local and foreign companies, offering his expertise and guidance.

Karlos Zangoulos

Chairman of BDO Fund Services

Karlos is a founding partner of BDO Cyprus and manages our Nicosia Office. He has spent over 25 years providing public accounting and business advisory services to a range of businesses and individual clients. Karlos provides tax advisory and compliance services for clients ranging from individuals to large multi-national corporations involved in banking and finance, natural resources, distribution, manufacturing, wholesaling, retailing as well as property and construction. Karlos also provides business advisory and growth services to various clients that includes the establishment or transition of entities and funds; transaction services including due diligence, deal structuring and negotiation assistance; assistance with financial, management or project reporting; and ongoing accounting and statutory compliance requirements.

Karlos is presently a member of the Council of the Cyprus Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
